Dutch singer/songwriter Charlotte Wessels, formerly of DELAIN, has announced that her third solo album is set to be released on September 20, 2024, through Napalm Records. What makes this album even more special is that Wessels will be joined by her former DELAIN bandmates Timo Somers on guitar, Otto Schimmelpenninck van der Oije on bass, and Joey Marin de Boer on drums, along with Sophia Vernikov on piano. Additionally, Vikram Shankar and Elianne Anemaat have contributed arrangements and cello passages to the album, respectively. The mixing of the album was done by Guido Albers, known for his work with bands like MUSE and COLDPLAY, while the mastering was handled by Andy VanDette, who has worked with PORCUPINE TREE and DREAM THEATER.

Fans can get a taste of what's to come on May 16, 2024, when the first single, "The Exorcism," is released. Wessels describes the album as a deeply personal journey, exploring themes of fear and obsessive thoughts. She expresses her excitement about working with such a talented team and rediscovering her love for making music during the recording process. The album represents a new chapter for Wessels, and she can't wait to share it with her fans.
