Simone Simons of EPICA Releases Single

Simone Simons, the lead singer of Epica, has just announced her first solo album titled "Vermillion." The album will be releasedÂ on August 23rd, and its first single, "Aeterna," is already available for streaming.

"Aeterna" is a powerful song that serves as the opening track of the album. It carries influences from Epica and Ayreon, blending Latin lyrics with an oriental touch. The song explores cosmic themes, reflecting on the universe's interconnectedness and the mysteries of life.

Simone Simons collaborated with Arjen Lucassen, known for his work with Ayreon, in creating "Aeterna." The song is accompanied by a visually stunning music video directed by Patric Ullaeus. Simons and Lucassen are excited about the song's release and hope fans will enjoy it.
