THE STORY

Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz already has enough songs for a second album from Burn Eternal, the project he launched with Howard Jones, even though their debut will not arrive until February 26, 2027, following numerous delays.

A second Burn Eternal album is already in the works

In a recent interview with Metal On Tap, the guitarist revealed that the debut album had been finished for around four years and that he had already sent new songs to Howard Jones.

“For me, it’s almost ancient history. The album has been finished for about four years. There have been quite a few complications, but I’m glad it’s finally coming out. I already have enough songs to make another album. I’ve sent them to Howard, so once he’s written the lyrics, we can start working on it together.”

The musician also explained that he wrote the songs for the debut album during the pandemic, simply to keep himself occupied. Howard Jones then asked him whether he had any songs he could sing on.

The project faced numerous delays, however, and Dutkiewicz explained that the situation had left him deeply frustrated, particularly because fans have been waiting years to hear the collaboration.

“I really feel bad for the fans who have had to wait this long. I’ve wanted them to hear this music for years, but there have always been complications. It leaves a bitter taste.”

Nevertheless, the guitarist is happy to keep working with Howard Jones, who is also a close friend.

Burn Eternal recently released their debut single, Wounds I’ve Made. Their self-titled debut album, featuring nine tracks, will be released on February 26, 2027, via Metal Blade Records.
