The Female Metal Singer 2024 category has seen an overwhelming response, with over 20,000 passionate metal fans’ votes. 

Leading the pack is 26-year-old Japanese sensation Suzuka Nakamoto, commanding 51.52% of the votes with a total of 13,304 votes. Suzuka Nakamoto, also known as Su-metal, born December 20, 1997, in Hiroshima, Japan, gained fame as the lead vocalist of Babymetal, a kawaii metal band formed in 2010. Prior to Babymetal, she was a member of Karen Girl’s and Sakura Gakuin. Her musical journey began with modeling and acting, eventually leading to her successful career in the music industry. Suzuka’s powerful vocals and stage presence have contributed to Babymetal’s global popularity. 

Currently in second place is the renowned Dutch vocalist and Nightwish frontwoman, Floor Jansen, who has garnered 22.29% of the votes, amounting to 4,458 votes. Floor Jansen was Born on February 21, 1981, in Goirle, Netherlands, she rose to prominence as the lead singer of symphonic metal band After Forever, captivating audiences with her dynamic performances. She later joined Finnish band Nightwish, solidifying her status as one of metal’s leading vocalists. Jansen’s career spans multiple successful albums, collaborations, and tours worldwide. Beyond her bands, she has pursued a successful solo career, further showcasing her immense talent. With her remarkable vocal range and stage presence, Floor Jansen continues to inspire and captivate audiences globally. 

In third place stands Sharon den Adel, the lead singer of Within Temptation, who has received 5.05% of the votes, translating to 1,010 votes. Sharon den Adel, born on July 12, 1974, in Waddinxveen, Netherlands, is a powerhouse vocalist known for her enchanting presence in symphonic metal. As the heart of Within Temptation, she has mesmerized audiences with her emotive performances. With a career spanning decades, Sharon has left an indelible mark on the metal scene. Her soaring vocals and unwavering dedication continue to inspire fans worldwide.  Sharon den Adel’s legacy as an iconic figure in symphonic metal remains unmatched.
