Madeleine Liljestam was born in 1990 in the southern region of Sweden. From an early age, her passion for music burned brightly. Throughout her teenage years, Madeleine showcased her talent in various talent shows, honing her skills and captivating audiences with her powerful voice. Her breakthrough came in 2010 when she emerged victorious in Sweden’s prestigious “Next Star” competition. This win opened doors for Madeleine, leading her to perform in Sweden’s most extensive music tour, Diggiloo, during the summer season.

Transitioning seamlessly between roles, Madeleine spent a season at Wallman’s Salonger, dazzling audiences as a show artist and a waitress. However, her true calling beckoned her to create her music.

In late 2011, Madeleine embarked on a new chapter in her career by collaborating with Cardiac Records. Joined by co-founder and guitarist Rikard Ekberg, they formed Eleine, a band that would redefine the symphonic metal genre with its unique sound and elegant flair. Their debut single, “Gathering Storm,” released in April 2014, marked the beginning of a journey filled with musical triumphs.

Subsequent releases, including the album “Eleine,” showcased Madeleine’s vocal prowess and the band’s ability to captivate audiences with their electrifying performances. Beyond the stage, Madeleine graced the cover of Scandinavian Tattoo Magazine and became a sought-after model for prominent alternative brands, embodying Eleine’s seductive and stylish image.

In 2016, Eleine took a bold step forward, parting ways with Cardiac Records and embracing independence. This move fueled their creative freedom, leading to the release of the acclaimed album “Until The End” in 2018. The album soared to the top of the Swedish charts, solidifying Eleine’s position as a powerhouse in the music industry.

As the band evolved, so did Madeleine’s role within it. Touring tirelessly and captivating audiences worldwide, Eleine continued to push boundaries and defy expectations. Their third album, “Dancing in Hell,” released in 2020, showcased their growth as artists and storytellers, earning them widespread acclaim.
